Blue
Hi, my name is Blue. I am a female, Blue-point Siamese born on August 20 1993. I came to live with my family in October 1993 on the day that the Toronto Blue Jays won their second World Series. My full name is Blue Jo because it was Joe Carter who hit the game winning home run.

Although I like all the family, I am just crazy over Bert. I like him to carry me around and hold me on his shoulder. If he is busy, I just yell at him until he picks me up. I often sleep in his in-box on a shelf above his computer. If the box gets too full, I simply pick up some of the paper with my teeth and throw it on the floor. I cry when he goes out.

I like to chase little wads of paper and to play fetch with foam balls. If I am in the mood to play but no one notices me, I give them a gentle but definite nip on the foot to remind them that I am there. I also enjoy rough-housing with Max. I can't stand getting even a drop of water on me so you realize how badly I felt when I fell into the bathtub one day.

When I am feeling alone or neglected I go upstairs and get one of Louise's slippers out of her closet and drag it downstairs. The slippers seem to make me feel better.
But, except for that big galumphing Amber hound and those times when I am left alone, I have a very good life; a loving family, good food, Max to keep me company - what else could a cat ask for?

Max
I am a dark gray, male, Domestic Short-Hair born on October 14 1994. I don't talk much which is a good thing because no one can get a meow in edge-wise with that mouthy Blue around. My special person is Erik. When he gets home from school he picks me up and I put my arms around his neck and give him a hug.

I really like sitting and dozing in a patch of sunlight. If the sun isn't out, I will lie under a lamp instead.

I like to supervise any work done around the house just to make sure it is done right. I also like to sit on the kitchen counter and supervise the person cooking the dinner.

I am very gregarious. I like to make friends with anyone who comes into the house and I like to move from one person to the next to get petted. It is fun to wrestle and chase around with Blue and it is nice to curl up with her in a chair for a nap. I have a good life.

That great big Amber dog came to live with us. At first I was scared but I decided that I was here first and that I was going to be the boss so, one day when the dog sniffed at me, I swatted her across the nose. Now she is scared of me and I can even chase her around. It's fun!

Hi, I am a brindle female greyhound born December 25, 1996. I was bred to be a racer but I just didn't have enough drive to be a winner. I lost all the races I was in and, in my last race, I just sat down on the track and refused to run any more. A wonderful woman named Laurie Soutar rescued me from a track in Wisconsin. Louise wanted a greyhound pup but when she visited Laurie I fell in love with Louise and she with me so now I am living with Louise, Bert, Erik and the two cats. The cats boss me around but that is okay because I am so very happy to be living here.
